Worth area; K104 Hip Hop/R&B and Old School KRNB.

Derrick "Fly Ty" Jacobs started his radio career in 1995 as a morning co-host and producer for The Breakfast Brothers on Power 98 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

His career propelled into syndication in 2004, broadcasting live from Dallas Ft. Worth, with the flagship station KRNB Old School 105.7. Syndicated stations include Flint, Michigan, Huntsville, Alabama and Buffalo, New York. Eventually landing him on the #1 station in Dallas, TX KKDA K104.

In 2009, returning to Charlotte, NC for The Fly Ty Show on My 92.7 WQNC and Old School 105.3.  He later transitioned to V101.9 for Afternoon Drive.

He is a radio veteran who is not scared to make listeners laugh.  He created and portrayed many different characters making these fictitious personalities famous.
